Когнитивные нарушения при шизофрении включают широкий спектр несоциальных и социальных когнитивных областей. Это основной признак заболевания, существенно влияющий на лечение и прогноз. Наше понимание причин, последствий и вмешательств в отношении когнитивных нарушений при шизофрении значительно возросло за последние годы. Далее мы рассмотрим ряд тем, а именно: а) типы несоциальных, социальных и сенсорных когнитивных нарушений при шизофрении; б) отличия и сходства когнитивных нарушений при шизофрении с таковыми при других расстройствах; в) когнитивные нарушения в продромальном периоде и в течение жизни при шизофрении; г) нейровизуализация нервных субстратов несоциальных и социальных когниций; и д) связь несоциальных и социальных когниций с функциональными исходами. В статье также рассматриваются значительные усилия, которые были направлены на улучшение когнитивных нарушений при шизофрении при помощи новых препаратов, когнитивной реабилитации, социального когнитивного обучения и альтернативных подходов. В последнем разделе мы рассмотрим новые области, которые имеют потенциал к развитию в будущем, включая взаимодействие мотивации и познания, влияние неблагоприятных ситуаций в детстве, метапознание, роль нейровоспаления, компьютерное моделирование, применение дистанционных цифровых технологий и новые методы исследования организации нейронных сетей. Изучение когнитивных нарушений позволило приблизиться, изучить и понять широкий спектр особенностей шизофрении, и это может в конечном итоге повлиять на то, как мы определяем и диагностируем это сложное расстройство.
